Inséré dans une double ellipse aux lignes épurées, ce papillon évoque les cycles de la métamorphose aboutissant à l’envol du lépidoptère vers d’autres lieux. C’est aussi graphiquement la représentation d’un entonnoir, celui qui reçoit le brut et libère de l’autre côté les matériaux calibrés prêts à l’emploi.

 

Un projet innovant grâce à la mutualisation de quatre entreprises

Cette plateforme transforme les minéraux naturels issus de la déconstruction ou de déchets de chantiers en granulats et bétons moins carbonés.

La volonté des entreprises à l’origine du projet, et présentes sur la plateforme, a été de mutualiser leurs compétences pour permettre le re-recyclage et développer l’Urban-mining. Leur technologie innovante et unique en Suisse romande participe à compenser les besoins en matériaux minéraux pour la construction tout en réduisant la pression qu’exercent les extractions naturelles sur l’environnement.

Ce papillon soudé à la main est un symbole fort pour incarner les valeurs de cette plateforme qui, sur 36’000 m2, s’est investie pour des solutions soutenables dans le domaine des matériaux minéraux. Le re-recyclage permet de réduire le transport par poids lourds en favorisant l’exploitation de ressources locales habituellement destinées aux décharges (Urban Mining). De plus ces matériaux peuvent être traités à l’infini, on parle de re-recyclage.

Nicolas Moinat s’est investi avec enthousiasme pour la réalisation de cette sculpture. En acier anthracite il a réalisé un totem gardé secret jusqu’au 24 juin. Un système électrique issu de la récupération d’un moteur dissimulé dans le socle assure la rotation et l’éclairage par LED multicolore de la sculpture. L’œil averti saura apprécier la qualité des soudures faites à la main, la finesse des soles découpées avec adresse et la justesse de la réalisation.

Ce jour-là après avoir fait patienter le millier de personnes présent à l’inauguration, c’est la levée du secret : le voile qui enveloppait la sculpture s’envole dans les airs et révèle le totem. Le jour n’était pas tombé, mais, terni par la pluie, il mettait en valeur le papillon en rotation, éclairé par des lumières changeantes. Le public a salué avec enthousiasme la qualité de cette œuvre.

À présent, le lépidoptère géant accueille le visiteur sur la plateforme.

C’est ce que les personnes qui ont travaillé sur ce projet et à la mise en place de l’événement inaugural ont envie de dire au millier de visiteurs qui a parcouru les 36’000 m2 du site entre vendredi 24 et samedi 25 juin.
Malgré la pluie, enthousiasme et chaleur humaine étaient au rendez-vous.

L’accueil des visiteurs s’est articulé autour de la volonté d’offrir une visite mémorable à plus d’un titre. Émotion, découverte, démarche didactique, rencontres des acteurs de ce concept nouveau et convivialité gourmande.

Un parcours en six étapes !

La visite a commencé par l’apparition d’échassiers souriants chargés d’accueillir et d’orienter les personnes arrivant sur site. Ce vendredi, le ciel menaçant n’a pas découragé les 700 visiteurs qui venaient découvrir la plateforme dès 10H 30. De nombreux professionnels du bâtiment et de la construction, des architectes, ingénieurs civils et représentants des autorités étaient présents parmi les invités. La nouveauté du concept jointe à l’ambition du projet avait de quoi les intéresser. Ils ont parcouru le circuit aménagé, à la découverte des processus de traitement des matériaux, chaque étape étant illustrée par des panneaux didactiques.

Une des particularités de Plateforme La Plaine est la mutualisation des compétences de quatre entreprises afin d’optimiser l’Urban Mining et le re-recyclage. Au cœur du projet, la volonté d’alléger la pression occasionnée par l’extraction de minéraux naturels sur l’environnement, tout en répondant à une demande croissante de produits pour la construction. L’Urban Mining c’est quoi ? C’est le fait de puiser dans la ville, les ressources issues de déconstruction. Les avantages sont multiples, à commencer par la proximité des lieux d’extraction avec le site de traitement, ce qui raccourci les trajets des granulats par camions. De plus, le concept global de Plateforme La Plaine permet de recycler à l’infini ces matériaux sans les altérer. Ici Ecosor SA assainit et revalorise les matériaux provenant de sites contaminés. Une équipe d’ingénieurs en environnement et de techniciens spécialisés prennent en charge les matériaux d’excavation et de démolition pollués. Après un contrôle d’entrée, les matériaux sont triés en fonction de leur degré de pollution. Puis ils sont traités, soit directement par ECOSOR SA, soit par son réseau de partenaires.

Poste 6 – Transport par rail-alimentation des silos

Un voile s’élève pour révéler un papillon de 555 cm de haut tout en acier. En un temps record, l’artisan a réalisé cette sculpture conçue par l’agence Diabolo Design à l’image du logo créé pour Plateforme La Plaine. Et soudain, dans la nuit tombante, le papillon s’anime, tournant sur lui-même, éclairé de variations colorées. Bravo l’artiste !

Puis, alors que le silence revient, on assiste à une apparition. Une jeune femme d’une fluidité aérienne, s’est hissée le long d’un ruban blanc suspendu à une grue au-dessus du parvis de la plateforme. C’est Emi Vauthey, la sculpturale acrobate qui survolait l’arène de la dernière Fête des Vignerons. Le moment est intense, il parle de légèreté, de grâce et d’envolée poétique. On retient son souffle les yeux emplis d’étoiles. Enfin elle touche terre. Tonnerre d’applaudissements.

 

Après l’effort le réconfort

Les visiteurs sont au complet et se sont pressés sous les grandes tentes prévues en cas de pluie. Heureusement ! C’est le déluge ! Accoudés autour des tables hautes, ils dégustent les vins de la région et les spécialités mijotées sur place. La convivialité est généreuse, gourmande et originale, un risotto au parmesan est cuit dans une bétonnière, des hamburgers sont préparés minute par des chefs joyeux, un buffet de salades variées, des pizzas au feu de bois, des viandes grillées, des glaces à gogo comblent les plus exigeants. Les orateurs ont témoigné de leur rapport à la plateforme, les autorités présentes l’ont plébiscitée. Plus loin, un ancien wagon pour les matériaux à traiter a été transformé en bar à café. Il y aurait encore tant à dire de l’ensemble des actions menées sur le site. Ce sera l’occasion d’une autre lettre…

 

Du roc au rock

L’agape se poursuit lorsqu’on annonce la Rock band. Des amis incontournables de Raymond Moinat , l’initiateur du projet et père de Nicolas Moinat, l’artisan-sculpteur, vont faire vibrer la nuit pour la plus grande joie des convives. La soirée est douce, la pluie s’en est allée et dans l’intimité que créent les ombres du soir, on discute, on partage et on se réjouit. Lorsqu’il faut partir, on se dit parfois qu’on aurait bien voulu rester un peu plus. C’était tellement sympathique.

Mais pour l’équipe de Plateforme La Plaine, la nuit n’est pas finie. Il y a tant à faire encore.

Le lendemain, samedi, c’est porte-ouverte. L’accueil moins officiel est tout aussi convivial. Les familles, les voisins et les absents de la veille défilent accueillis par les échassiers. Plateforme La Plaine est un projet d’entrepreneurs mais derrière cette entreprise motivée par une belle dimension humaine, il y a le rêve d’un enfant du pays.

MERCI à tous les porteurs du projet qu’ils en soient acteurs ou promoteurs. À l’heure où les ressources se raréfient il est encourageant que des entreprises privées investissent leurs compétences et leur argent au développement de projets d’avenir aussi ambitieux, et que les autorités les soutiennent.
